Return policy

Every Daniel Yu piece is made to order — designed, sourced, and finished individually for you. Because of that, our approach to returns is different from a typical retailer's, and we want it to be clear before you commit.

Made to order, final sale

As each piece is created specifically for you, all sales are final — we're unable to accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds on completed pieces. For bespoke commissions, your 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your materials and your place in our studio's schedule. What we always stand behind

Final sale never means you're on your own. Every piece is covered against genuine manufacturing defects for its lifetime — if a fault in our craftsmanship or structural integrity ever appears through no misuse of your own, we repair or remake it at no charge. This guarantee is included with every commission and is never an add-on.

Everyday care & wear

For routine care, resizing, and everyday wear over the years, we offer optional Care & Protection Plans so your piece stays as beautiful as the day you received it. These are separate from the free craftsmanship guarantee, so you pay only for the coverage you want.

Getting your size right

Because we fabricate to the exact size you provide, please have your ring size professionally determined before production if you're not visiting the studio. A resize needed later — because a measurement has changed or no longer feels comfortable — is handled as a service or under a Care Plan, not the guarantee.

Loss, theft & accidental damage

These fall outside both our guarantee and our Care Plans and are best protected by dedicated jewelry insurance. We've partnered with Brite + Co so you can insure your piece easily: app.brite.co/jeweler/danielyujewelry.
